Finished Editing!!

I have added the finishing touches, music has been put in, text in place and everything is complete!!!

Filming COMPLETE!!

All filming is done! We are happy to all the filming done so that I can now finishing editing it which i plan on doing straight away, it shouldn't take too long as it's only the last few shots that needed filming and to be edited in, the soundtrack is already in place along side all text and sound effects.

24th January 2016

Today was Day 2 of filming and have completed 2/3 of the it, we were unable to finish due to the camera battery dying before we could finish filming in the final location. However, we have planned to meet up to continue filming after school to complete our production.

Tomorrow is DAY 2 of filming and compared to last week the weather is definitely looking better!

Antagonist Voice Update

After showing my team the little montage I create of the different types of voice effects on the Antagonist's voice we all agreed to not have an effect on it and to just leave it as the Antagonist's natural voice. We decided this because as we tried all the different effects in the production none of them seemed to fit and it made the production seem almost corny and very unrealistic but also, all effects gave the Antagonist a mechanic sounding voice and the audience could of jumped to the conclusion that the Antagonist was some kind of robot which would of made them associate our production with one such as Terminator (this is known as intertextuality) and even though that is a very popular film that is not what we are aiming for. Therefore, we shall be using the Antagonist's natural voice in our production.

17th January 2016

We headed out to film today, we started way off schedule due to having to get lighting. We managed to get all shots in the first location complete and begun filming in the second location when it began to snow, we waited to see if it would stop as the shots we'd already done of this scene it wasn't snowing and we couldn't suddenly have it snowing. Sadly, it did not top so we had to postpone filming until the weather wasn't snowing which we hope to carry on filming during the week.

10th January 2016

We had planned to film over the weekend however, we ran into some complication as we needed the photo before filming and we haven't been able to do that, we have no planed to do that during a Media lesson so that we are able to film. We also walked into the issue of weather, it was heavily raining meaning the equipment would get wet and we wouldn't be able to do some things we would of done otherwise.

2nd January 2016

Storyboards are complete,  printed off sheets and drew and wrote everything on them and I'm having to scan them onto my laptop in order to post them on my blog which is taking awhile. By finishing the storyboards we know everything we will be doing during filming and i cannot wait to film!!

20th December 2015

I have been doing a lot of work towards the storyboard and have been hcnaging my mind about a lot of things and having to re-draw most of it. We have a rough idea of the beginning, middle and end of our opening it's just filling in the gaps in between however, we are close to sorting them out and I am currently working on the shot list however, i am finding coming up with ideas is difficult. To help me I am watching fight scenes from other action films, chase scenes, dialogue scene etc. This is helping slightly as it has inspired some ideas it's just the struggle of turning that scene into a low budget scene but still making it look good.

9th December 2015

Sadly, my other group members were not here today and I found it hard as I wasn't able to consult them in some ideas for the costume/props and storyboard.
I have completed 2/4 things on my to do list, I have almost finished the storyboard and once that is done we will begin on the bilinary task so that we are able to get ready to film. Filming itself will be done over Christmas as I have my own camera and are able to film at any time, hoping that the weather is on our side.

Locations for filming:
 We decided that we will film partly in the local park which isn't fall of playground equipment but trees and fields and has a woodland area. We will also be filming in an old abandoned area to keep the shots exciting because I thought that if it was all just trees the audience would eventually get bored of it.

7th December 2015

Having some trouble getting some work up as i have exams but i am doing my best. I went through some of my work to add some screen grabs and some GIFs to make it look better. I've finished the first page of the storyboard and I am currently starting some light research for preparation of the filming of the production.
I also just created a new twitter poll asking whether they think the antagonist should have the power of telekinesis, will hopefully have the results this time tomorrow.

Firstly, it's December already which means our deadline is closing in quick, today i hope to start and get close to finishing the StoryBoard for our production. We have decided that i will be the one to edit the footage we film.

I created some more polls on Twitter for people to answer for some of my social media research. I'm finding the results I have so far very interesting.
I'm planning on going out over the weekend to take a collection of photos of the locations we are going to be filming at, hopfully the weather will be on my side and it won't rain.
I'm hoping to have my planning and research close to or completly completed by the end of this weekend so that we can concentrate on storyboards, sound and then on to filming.

Look at our survey results and got them posted. I have started some polls on twitter for people to answer, the questions are based on similar and different questions to the ones on our recent survey. I did some similar to see if i would get any different responses on social media. I am also working on a creating a closed survey for a focus group

11:50 - I decided to get a few pieces of work done during my frees I had before Media last lesson, the deadline is closing in quickly and we are hoping to have planning and research done soon. I have some pieces of work in draft ready to do during Media.

Now that we have our rough idea for our production so i have started to gather the information on locations, costumes, equipment and software and hopefully have it done and dusted soon. Also, to start and finish the storyboards so that we know what shots we want to do so that when we go out filming we can just get on with it.  I am excited to start filming and hope that the weather is on our side.

We have thought of some possible ideas that we could do for our production opening sequence however, they're in simple drafts at the moment and will become more detailed when the surveys are collected in and we begin our storyboards.

Our Idea: 
We begin with a chase seen that is a typical convention of an action film, this then leads o a fight scene, at the end of the fight scene the antagonist kills the person who was running, the victim. Walking away from the body you see that they're on the phone and they say something like "target eliminated." Leaving it on a cliff hanger and cutting to title sequence. 
We decided that there wouldn't be much dialogue as that can take away from the action of the scene.

23rd November 2015

I created a survey last night and sent it out on social media and this lesson I sent it to my classmates and so far it has 18 responses and I'm hoping to collect all the responses tomorrow during the double lesson. Also, during the double lesson I'm hoping to do some work on protagonists and antagonists and their costumes, body language, colour scale etc.
I've done through some of my previous posts and added some things or amended them to make them better.
I have aslo started looking into sound for our production as our deadline is closing in.

No technical difficulties today, yay! We're on track and planning to create an audience questionnaire to be distributed and filled in over the weekend so we can look at the results on Monday, everything is on track.
